Redken Frizz Dismiss-new hair color and new product

About 6 weeks ago I got my hair highlighted heavly blonde highlights.  I naturally have dark curly hair.  I noticed after getting my haircolored that my hair was frizzy and dry.  I found this miracle stuff Redkenn Frizz Dismiss mask at Ulta and OMG this stuff is so good! My hair today is smooth and soft feeling.  I did leave the mask in my hair all day saturday so I don't know if that makes a difference or not... If you have naturally curly hair and it's dry then you must try this stuff :)

Looking for a prom dress again

Well my daughter went to her first prom last year with her boyfriend.  He was a senior and she was in the 10th grade.  She was so excited.  She wanted an old fashion type of dress one that was like a princess dress.  We purchased it used for $250 and had some alterations done on it.  It was sooo pretty.

This year she's a junior and at her school they have a junior/senior prom.  She told me she wants to go "all out" next year for her senior prom so we've decided to purchase used again.  I'm signed up on Facebook to a lot of the yard sale type of groups and have found lots of good deals.  We are going Friday to try on a dress that if it fits right we will get for her.  If you are conservative with money like I am (being a single mom) then this is definitely the way to go :)... I donated the prom dress from last year to Goodwill and held it off on my taxes as a deductible.  I'll post some pictures of it below.

Nudes that don't wash you out????? How to determine your skin tone.

I have dark brown hair, brown eyes, and pale skin.  I feel like I look better in darker color lipsticks, reds, pinks etc.  Everytime I wear nudes I feel washed out.. Does this feel like you?  You should really base your nude lipstick selection on the tone of your skin.  The best way to find out the tone of your skin is to turn your wrist over and look at the veins.  If you see a blue vein then you have a cool tone--- you should be wearing cool tone nudes, if you see a greenish/blue tone then you should be wearing warm tones, and if you just aren't sure??? you are very lucky because you have that olive type of skin color and can wear neutrals or either color tone looks good on you.

Cleaning your makeup brushes

I cleaned my makeup brushes a different way this past weekend and it really got them cleaned and they didn't take long to dry.  I used baby shampoo (bought from the dollar store) and vitamin E oil.  I then soaked them in a shallow bowl for about 5 minutes.  When it was time to wash I just made a paste like consistency in the palm of my hand with each brush and then ran it under luke warm water making sure to squeeze the water out until it ran clear.  Then I propped the brushes up so they could dry standing upwards with the applicator end facing downwards.  Make sure you dry the brushes standing up that way because if you dry them flat the water that is in the brush will go back up into the brush where the glue holds the bristles and it may loosen over time.  I dried them overnight and the next day it was like I had new brushes.  Everyone should try this out :)

I'm starting back to school tomorrowand it seems weird.  I have an 18 yr old and a 16 yr old and it seems like life is starting over for me.   wish me luck

Monday morning blahhhhh

It's Monday morning and back to the grind.  I really didn't want to get up this morning because it was so cold outside.  I had my electric blanket on and my cat was snuggling with me.  On a good note, the sun is shinning.
